Sinus infections during pregnancy

Has anyone ever had a sinus infection while pregnant?  I'm suffering from a scratchy throat, thick mucous,  mild headache and post nasal drip. Is Mucinex safe to take?  What other relief measures have worked for you?

If you have a true sinus infection, ie. green/yellow snot(I know gross) go to the doctor bc you most likely need an antibiotic. If you aren't careful it'll move into your check which can be painful. I'm just getting over one. Had to get some amoxicillin.

I was taking plain mucinex for days without much help. And Tylenol. I finally called Ob and they said stay away from mucinex and take plain robitussin (which didn't make much sense to me..its the same active ingredientc(guaf).. But I followed orders) and sudafed(also plain - ewithout psuedo). Another week went by, only got worse. Finally got a z pack and cough syrup prescribed.  Another week and I was better.  3 weeks sick altogether.  Used humidifier at night and Vicks too.  Good luck. Its miserable!
