A spinal block and epidural and are essential the same procedure when given, the difference is an epidural they leave a type of ruber tune in your back so it's conintual medicaion (IV drip through your back) and they can adjust to give you more or less. A spinal block is a one time shot (usually given if you're headed into a c-section)
I had an epidural and the worst part was getting it as they have to do it mid-contraction with you sittin up-right. Mine was so low dose I was able to move still and feels contractions just pain free.
I had a spinal block with my c-section. No idea what a epi feels like but wish a spinal you can't feel anything at all. Full surgery and the only sensations I ever had was a tugging feeling when they were putting me back together. I have heard with an epi that you still have some sensations
