Spotting and passing clots during pregnancy

I posted on here a couple of months ago and am still having the same problem.  Right after I found out I was pregnant two months ago, I started passing bright red blood, but just spotting.  It rarely ever makes it to my underwear, but is there when I wipe.  I had two transvaginal ultrasounds at six weeks.  I have heard the baby's heartbeat twice since then (last time was yesterday) and I am now 14 1/2 weeks.  My doctor put me on pelvic rest back at six weeks and since I have been spotting every five or six days, my husband and I have chosen to keep me on pelvic rest.  I don't do anything overly strenuous, just light housework.  Today I was cleaning the kitchen (dishes, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.) and just a few minutes ago, I had some more spotting and there were two small clots (the blood is bright red).  My doctor says not to stress out over it too much unless I bleed so much that I have to wear a pad and actually change to a second one.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Any suggestions or comments?  This is my third pregnancy and I am 38.  My last child was born almost eight years ago and this one was unplanned.  I was taking Orthotricyclen when I got pregnant and took it daily up until I found out I was pregnant, basically at 5 1/2 weeks.

I just recenly had an etopic pregnancy in June of 2011. I am now 5 weeks pregnan.  I have been spotting only when I use the bathroom.  Today I pass a small clot not even the size of a dime.  But I am so worried.  I have not been to ER which I know I should go but I am scared to death.  My first prenatal appointment is not until Tesdayof next week.  What do i do.  I do know I am not experiencing any pain at all.

do you not have insurance at all now or are you just waiting on the card?

if you are just waiting on the card you should still be able to go to a dr and just tell them you are waiting on your card.

Either way you should still be able to go to the ER most ERs wont turn people away whether they have insurance or not and you being pregnant they wont turn you away (or they shouldnt)

I am in 15 weeks pregnant and having the same problem of you. I've been bleeding since I found out that I'm pregnant. It was a bright red blood but right now it was a dark sometimes brown blood and it is stinks. I felt cramped below my abdomen maybe because of lifting some heavy things at my job. I dnt have a doctor yet until now because I'm still waiting of my Insurance. I'm worried and scared to death because I want a baby so bad and this is my first baby..please give me some answer, advice or anything to make me feel better.stressful and frustrated.

my 2nd m/c started out like that, spotting on a wednesday and on saturday i started passing small blood clots so i went to the ER. they told me my cervix was closed but i was considered a a threatened miscarriage. So i would go to the ER or call your Dr and see what they have to say. I was also told to just lay around and rest
