People always say its hereditary BUT....my mom has stretch marks and a stretched out tummy. Both of my sisters have stretch marks and a stretched out tummy. I have the faintest stretch marks (barely visible) and a tight stomach. So i dont believe its all hereditary. What i did that they didnt was this...as soon as i step out of the shower and dry my stomach i mix lotion (i like palmers) with vitamin E oil (i get the family dollar one) and lather it all over my belly and sides. I do it right after every shower, when my pores are open.

No Amount of lotion is going to stop stretch marks. There is no proof they run in the family,  except in the way that you can have similar skin to your parents etc. Stretch marks are caused by the skin cells 'spliting'  when over stretched. Although creams and slow weight gain can make it seem like you get less is simply not true. At the end of your pregnancy from about 32 weeks onwards the baby gains alot of weight very fast,  this causes the cells to split and starts stretch marks, sometimes you can't even see them until after the baby. So don't waste your money on crazy cream schemes! If you are lucky you won't get any,  or very few,  if you have darker skin you'll notice them more. They do fade a bit over time as well. Think of them as your trophy! You grew a human! Be proud of how awesome you are.

I use Bio Oil. I tried Palmers, but it didn't work for me. I ahve better luck with the Bio Oil. As people have said already, stretch marks are hereditary. Family history dictates if you will get them of not. Stretch mark creams and oils really just prep the skin than repair it after the skin tissue starts to tear. You have to use all the creams religiously though. Every morning and every night you need to put it on. The more you use it, the better it will work. Good luck momma.

Stretch marks are heretitary, so no amount of lotion is going to stop you from having any at all, it could help a little but if you are ment to get them then you will. I have only gained barely 6 pounds at 32 weeks and i have a crap ton all over my belly that are dark red, mo amount of lotion or creams would have stopped it from happening, so i say to not even waste your money on stuff that isnt gonna work

Do you mean stretch marks? Pure coconut oil works well and Ive heard about Palmers but haven't tried it! Currently I use an oil I got from Sephora, can't remember the name right now.

Stretch marks are genetic. If your mom, sister got them chances are you'll get them too. No matter what you do.

You should lotion up your belly legs boobs and butt everyday you can use really any lotion. I use a regular lotion then use Palmers tummy butter over it. Also watch you weight gain if you gain too fast you won't be able to stop them.
