Swollen Lymph Node

So I seem to have a swollen, painful lymph node in my left armpit. I was wondering if anyone else has had something like this. I'm 23+5 and my next appt with my OB isn't until the 3rd of June...to top it off I have a history of Thyroid Cancer and have had 2 benign tumors removed from my right breast....I'm trying not to freak out and stress but any advice, similar stories sure would help lol. Thanks :)

I started to feel the same thing going on turns out it was the beginning of me getting sick with strep throat and an ear infection totally ***** but as soon as I started my antibiotics and went away but if you have a history of cancer or anything like that never hurts to go and get it checked out and put your mind at ease

I talked to my doctor and he told me to use warm compresses on it this weekend and if it wasn't better by Monday morning to call and he would get me in Monday. Thank you for the input, makes me feel a lil more reassured its just from this stupid cold :)

So the good news if that it hurts. General consensus with swollen nodes and lumps is that if it doesn't hurt that's when you need to be concerned. I went through this a couple of times when my lymph node under my chin got to the size of a baseball. Pain generally means am infection, usually vital that your immune system is fighting. Kind of like a sore throat. Your t cells are in there blowing up cells infected with the virus while you're body searches for the b cells that will be the immunal treatment for the actual virus. The fact that you're now experiencing cold like symptoms leads me to believe that it probably is in fact a virus. You should see a Dr. Though as it sounds like it might be a fairly intense virus.

I see the VA as my primary care and its forever away from me and I've had a lil bit of a cold, and just noticed it last night. So if its not better tomorrow I'm going to call and see what they say and go from there, thank you :)

Go see your doctor soon as you can. Doesn't have to be your OB. Hope it's nothing and your body just fighting off infection or something. Praying everything turns out good
