Timing

I had an appt today at 39+4 wks and the doctor said I'm a strong 2cm dialated and he believes the baby might come on her own. If not, he's inducing me tomorrow. I lost my mucous plug right before the appt, and have been having fluctuating painful contractions sonce. The er nurse told me to wait until they are 5 mins apart with me unable to speak through them before I come in. I also have group b strep. Should I continue to time them or hold out until my induction tomorrow am???

Yea I told her. I guess she just wanted me to get the contractions more regulated. I napped and they've slowed to 1-2 every 30 mins. I think I'll be ok until tomorrow. Excited!!!:)

If you have strep b did you tell the nurse you.were possitive? Because they have to administer the antibiotics before you start pushing

I think when everyone hears your having contractions they think baby is coming now! I might not tell anyone for a while.

Thk you both! Everyone around me is panicking and wants me to go in now, but my water has not broken so I'm going to wait it out:)

As long as your water has not broken you should be OK until tomorrow...I had it with my first and they wanted me to come in immediately after my water broke to be put on antibiotics...but tomorrow is not that far away so I suggest yu keep timing, pay close attention to leakage and breakage of water...good luck
