I'm about 4 weeks along. I haven't seen my Ob-gyn yet. When do I start taking prenatal vitamins? And do I just get them over the counter or are they something my doctor will give me

I took the gummys and an iron pill with my first 2 this time I gagged on the gummys so I just bought a one a day women's multi- vitamin. The most important things to look for  folic acid and iron.

I also took the centrum two pill ones with my 1st amd he is 100% healthy! We have an added risk for childhood eye cancer so those were recommended by my obgyn for my 1st trimester. I dont know if they made a difference or not but they made me feel like I was doing all that I could to ensure his health and that was a good feeling and worth a few extra bucks. I was thinking of not doing them with this pregnancy as money is more of an issue but the thought of "what if this one gets daddys eye cancer,  will I blame myself forever just to safe a couple of bucks" turned me right back to the good ones. After baby you'll still wanna take them, thats when I switched to the cheaper ones.

I take centrum  prenatals. They came in a 2 pack. One is the vitamin and one is a DHA soft gel. I just got them at the drug store. I started taking them we stated trying, so definitely start right away.

I started with the gummies, until i couldnt handle them anymore ( i would gag at the taste, but im 20 weeks and still having nausea. Lol) but it does say Prenatals right on the bottle, and just read the instructions, some prenatal gummies u need to take two some pills u take 1. So u just have to find which one works for you.

It doesn't matter. I would go to the drug store and ask a pharmacist. They know just as much. I would start taking them immediately.

Ok. This is my first so I don't really know..is it just 1 pill I need to take? And does it just say prenatal on the bottle

You can take materna prenatal vitamins. You can get them from any drug store. That's usually what the doctor will suggest taking throughout your pregnancy. Congratulations by the way
