Walking

Does walking really make your baby come early?? Cause I'm due on December 23, 2014.. but, since my car is messed up I have been having to walk to work a lot if not walk there, I have to walk home.. and I'm starting to feel cramping in my sides a lot lately. My boyfriend is starting to worry as well..

I've been standing and walking to the extreme for 8+ hrs a day. Im 30 weeks doctor checked me and said that my cervix is soft,  that I need to chill out or ill go into premature labor. Its a scary thought.  So depends on how long you are actually walking.  I think if it's for shorter periods like up n down the street you will be ok.

This time last year I was walking everywhere, since my car had broken down, and was walking til the day I had my son. (Walked for over 5 months) it didn't help even after I had started dilating. I had my son on my due date! I hopen walking works for you.

Your mucas plug is a big booger Basicly lol ... it keeps infection and bacteria from getting to the baby most women lose it all at once and then some lose it little by little (it's whitish and blood mixed) it normally comes out 3 too 7 days before you go into labor but with my first pregnancy i lost mine a month before I had my son ...

Actually losing your mucus plug isn't a solid reason to believe you will go into labor anytime soon. Every pregnancy is different, I lost mine at 34+ weeks, still no labor signs!! This is my 7th pregnancy and 7th baby :) Your mucus plus is a snooty like blob of mucus, it is very slimy, thick and may contain trickle of blood drops, pinkish blood tent or even brown. You can lose it all at once or in pieces. And to answer your original question, walking is successful when you have all ready began to dilate, or have begun to have active labor contractions. Gravity naturally pulls your baby's head on your cervix, helping to provoke contractions that may or may not help you dilate.

No walking is great for you I'm due in 3 weeks and i walk up and down the block ... Now when your mucas plug falls out and everything then it will prolly start a little bit of discomfort and prolly bring on labor (but you don't lose your mucas plug til your about to go into labor)
