When to first see a doc?

I think I am 4-6 weeks... Everyone on the Internet is saying see a doctor at 8? I'm not sure what to do? Help please! How far along were you when you first saw a doctor?

Most OBs will say to wait until at least 8 weeks because prior to that they cannot see much on the US and don't want moms to freak out

With my first I had to wait till I was 9 weeks because my ob had no opening with this pregnancy I got in at 5 weeks because they had an opening the day after I called. Good luck

They like you to wait at least 8wks because your chances of miscarriage dramatically decrease. I'm almost 7wks pregnant with my second child and will be seeing my doctor at 9wks.

I'd call OB and ask for the next available. In both of my pregnancies, I had to wait 3-4 weeks for an appointment.

It depends on your OB, give them a call some like to see you to confirm with a vaginal ultrasound as it's very accurate on how far along and rules out tubal and lets men count how many.

Mine likes to see me at 7-8 weeks after my last period if I have a positive  take home test. My sisters doesn't see her till 12 weeks just orders  blood work to confirm.

Just call your OB and ask:) and if you don't have one now is the time to start looking.

This is my second pregnancy and I didn't go in to see my midwife until I was 10 weeks. If you're only hearing the heartbeat that is the best time to hear it for sure. Otherwise just take your prenatal vitamins.

I made an appointment as soon as I had positive HPT which was 5wks. Not sure why people would say wait til 8 wks - I'd be too impatient!
