I found that using half a lemon with some sugar on it to exfoliate helped my skin a ton.
I just try to get the makeup off and have makeup free days whenever I can. I cleanse with Neutrogena sensitive facial wash and if I'm extra greasy, a foaming wipe from olay. I moisturize with an SPF 15 before applying makeup. The acne was worse in first trimester and calmed down after that. Now my battle is the darn chin hairs and my back pain while bending over the sink to see them to tweeze!
I use lemon juice every night after i wash my face to get my makeup off. Its like astringent but without the chemicals. I suffered from horrible acne in the first trimester. It helps a lot. I just put it on a cotton ball and apply to my entire face then rinse with warm water.
Try eminence organic skincare. They have a clear skin probiotic line that is phenomenal. Perfectly safe for pregnancy
Doesn't actually produce so much oil naturally *** ( with spf)
Yeah baking soda is a natural exfoliation I use with cetaphil for sensitive skin, then apple cider vinegar works as a astringent afterwards. It is drying though... I use cetaphil sunscreen spf50 for afterwards sun protection. I am now acne free.
Sounds counterproductive but using cetaphil spf lightly moisturizing my face made it so my face naturally doesn't have to produce so much oil acne nd so it acne dc Tully breaks out less!
Honestly though hormone acne is very difficult! Coconut oil is a great natural moisturizer too for after if you'd rather haha (I am in a desert and prefer sunscreen all year round, and that's the only one I have had that makes my skin not dry up too badly or break out or get black heads)
I've battled acne for 5 years, and this is only thing that's helped! Everyone is different though, I feel your pain :( it is so embarrassing and annoying.
I know benzoyl peroxide and topical astringents are on the approved list. and they are something you could find in the first aid type section of the pharmacy.might not be what you're looking for, but it is safe for baby if other options don't work.
Cleansing with apple cider vinegar really helped me,burned alot and smells awful, but it works
Also, the coconut oil must be non gmo and cold pressed!
I started using an all natural soap and coconut oil. I use African black soap for my face and body then the coconut oil for a moisturizer. Nothing else worked. I found all the department store brands or drugstore brands made it worse due to all the chemicals. My skin is now better than it has been in years! Try it.
Acne is caused by hormones. So look at it as a sign your body is doing what it should to keep baby healthy. Face washes help but most likely it will not go away until baby is born.
