acne remedies

Im in desperate need of some home remedies that will take care of the acne on my forehead.  It is so embarrassing and annoying! I am used to using astringent and other topical ointments from my dermatologist but since becomming pregnant ive stopped since some products can be dangerous. Ive asked this question before but have  yet been successful at getting rid of it.. any suggestions would help greatly! Currently i am using clean and clear for sensitive skin. I just purchased Simple and started using that last night...im willing to be a chemist :)

I've never used it, but I'm in the same boat as you so I'm going to try it, tomatoes. Relax in a bath and lay tomato slices on your face like a mask. The acidity will dry out pimples. Follow up with washing your face with baking soda and warm water to exfoliate and wear away any dry skin. My acne is horrible as well. I feel your pain!

I got rid of my acne with turmeric powder. You can mix it with water to make a paste and leave it on the skin for 20 mins. You must wash it off well or it can leave the skin looking yellow. The healing properties of turmeric are unbelievable.   You can also mix it with honey which is a natural antibacterial.  This can become a sticky mess though so try first just making a paste with water. Good luck.

I agree with the lemon juice!
Acidity dries out the pimples and gunk.

I use equal parts honey and baking soda. If you have more sensitive or dry skin go with more honey than baking soda. It's really work well for me.

Lemon juice and sugar :-) wet your face with warm water. Soak a cotton ball with lemon juice and sprinkle a little sugar on top. Gently scub your face, then rinse with cold water. If you're skin is sensitive to the lemon juice, dilute with a little water before adding the sugar. This helps to even skin tone, exfoliate dead skin cells, get rid of black heads, and reduce acne... and it's cheap and natural :)
