another option for glucose testing.

I spoke with my doc and asked if there waa something else i could do rather thsn the one or three hour testing because I travel an hour and a half usually on my own and the normal test usually makes me pretty light headed and dizzy for the rest of the day.  Granted this is my fourth and all is going well ans I've never had an issue with it in the past so he said I could just get my finger pricked and if numbers were good he'd call it good. Since I do travel that far he said just don't eat anything once I leave the house. I tested fine. I just thought I'd let you ladies know that that can be an option. Just talk to your doc about it. Good luck mommies I hope this info can help even just a few of you!!! :-)

I didn't do that test with my first one.I was giving the option of doing a food diary and testing my blood sugar levels with pricking my finger time times a day when I woke up two hours after lunch and two hours after super. My levels were all normal range between 4-6 so the doctor psaid no need for the glucose test

Well at least I know I'm not strange and the only one who feels sick from it. :-) I couldnt imagine driving that long while feeling all woozy and stuff.

It would be awesome if my dr let me do that. I did my 1 hour glucose test and felt absolutely sick all day. I also drive far to my appointment and it isn't fun to do especially when dizzy. That's a great tip. Thank you.
