Be careful starting at 37 weeks...maybe wait a week. My friend's baby was born 2 weeks ago at 37 weeks and he had a few complications. They were minor but the doctor said another week in the womb and he would not have endured those struggles.

I've tried two rounds of Castor Oil mixed with Orange juice. The 1st round I had horrible contractions for an hour than they stopped and the 2nd round nothing happened. Today I started Raspberry Leaf Tea and nipple stimulation. My friend's midwife told me those two things should work! As well as sex because it's something in the semen that thins the lining of the cervix!

Agreed I work at a children's hospital I see the affects of children born before they are ready even though 37 weeks baby should be ok when he or she come out early on there own there's always possible complications my daughter was born at 36 weeks and she had to spend a week in the hospital due to dangerously high bilirubin

I am think they same way I am 37 weeks and I feel if I do not stat self inducing that I will be pushed to be induced and end up with another v section! My c section was fine I have a tiny scat healed very fast and it was not that painful for me I really just feel like they took a peoce of woman away from me when they did not give me the appropriate chance to deliver vaginally! You can dance walk do stairs primrose oil sex but you need him to ejaculate inside of you

Lovemychunk....as a momma of big babies and another 10 lb estimated baby on the way, you can do it without csection. Yes it hurts but you can do it! :-) I was induced about 39.5 wks with both my previous pregnancies. Due to a health issue for me and baby size. I'll be induced at 39 weeks again. My baby is still estimated to be 10lb at 39 weeks. Obviously doctors know better than me what your body is able to handle, but I think often docs say section b/c it's easier and more profitable for them. As for self induction, as much as I would love my baby to debut a little earlier...most wives tales do not work unless your body and baby are ready...the majority of them are ways to help your body prepare for labor! Good luck! :-)

For what reason u might have to have the c-section? Bcuz self inducing might bring problems to u n ur unborn if the doc is recommending c-section.

i wouldnt start self inducing until your due date or over due. dont rush baby out,  your suppose to go 40 weeks and ever week is important to your babies development. i know you might be uncomfortable but think of your baby health  and whats a few more weeks, you made it this far! Good luck whatever you choose but your body and baby knows when the time is right. congratulations to you mama.
