Thank you so much for your responses. ..at least I have an idea what to expect. ..
I was induce twice cause i was overdue i didnt like it cause the pain were stronger but i did it natural no meds n was only in labor for 5hours n only push 3time n she was out..
I was induced with my first. Went in at 6 PM on a Thursday. They hooked me up to a bunch of monitors and gave me oral meds. I had to sleep on the delivery table. Nothing happened so at 9:30 am my doc broke my water and started pitocin. Got an epidural at 3 PM it wore off by 7 PM. Started pushing at 8:30 puked twice and passed out 3 times. Baby was born at 10:34 PM on friday. I was 42 weeks along. She was 8 lbs 3 oz.
I was induced with my first son. I would do it again. I was in labor for 4hrs and pushed for 18 minutes.. and was not dilated when the process started. As far as pain goes, I just had back pain but nothing too bad. i had no pain meds. Good luck.
I was induced at 41 weeks 2 days with my first. I was in labor for 38 hours, pushing for 3.5 of them. My biggest suggestion would be drink a lot of water and fluids to stay hydrated, it will help a lot. Being induced was more painful for me as far as the contractions and stuff, but i think part of that would be attributed to me not having enough fluids. Good luck mama!
I had been induced twice (not by choice) not a good experience on either counts. Very painful also! If you have no medical need to be induced you can refuse.
My pain wasn't that bad. Just a long process for me. A lot of waiting. I wasn't dilated and cervix was hard. They gave me meds to thin the cervix. Then did a balloon thing in my vagina. I went in at 7pm or pm O can't remember but had her at 5am. Got my me some pain meds bcuz I didn't want the epideral(can't spell) to soon. I did just fine. Once the cervix thinned they broke the water bag n she was ready to join the world at that time!! 8lbs even....
Congratulations!!!
