My mom made all the food at mine and it was tea party style with all hors d'ouvres type of food. Cucumbers stuffed with chicken salad, small sundried tomato scones, mini crab cakes, three different kinds of tiny sandwiches, spinach and artichoke dip, deviled eggs and for dessert there was a chocolate cake, strawberry macarons, brownies, cookies and fruit salad. To drink we had sherbert punch and iced tea. It was all really good and a nice variety. Nothing to heat up and keep warm either.

I am doing Chick-fil-a sandwiches (2.99 ea) and making a fruit salad, veggie tray and serving chips and cupcakes. Way cheaper than catering fajitas which was $9 a person.

I had my shower at a restaurant and it was a buffet so that way everyone ate as much as they pleased and we didn't have to worry about cooking nor cleaning up. I told the owners of the restaurant what food and desserts I wanted and they made it accordingly. It was cheaper than purchasing the food and having to prepare it and get all of the necessities. Good luck and best wishes!

I'm carribean and my boyfriend is american and we served lunch since the shower started at 3 and went until 7. We had my cultural food (chicken, rice and beans, fried plantain) and some wings and spaghetti for those who weren't into the ethnic stuff.

I had a really big dessert table. We had 2 caramel cakes, baby shower cake, cupcakes of different flavors, loads of candy, candied apples, and a variety of my favorite chocolates. I started buying stuff for the dessert buffet about 3 months prior to the shower. We had the basic punch, coke, iced tea, and sprite for drinks.
