I could not do pills  made me sick to stomach all day and I did not want anything u put in then take out replace after a certain time frame ( mirena the ones that get put in arm last 3  years) or any uid have had issues medically invovling me cervix etc. After birth of first son but I did the depo shot cause of those reasons even though needles freak me out I can't even look when my son gets a shot I hold him still close my eyes and anything not real silver or gold reacts within my body or going through it example ( fake earrings even ones made for sensitive ears i have a teaction to ) so copper uid was out of the question  I eventually stopped the depo shot due to major increase in appitite and weight Gian was dieting to  keep weight off which was five pounds at the most. And did the pills  and took a med for tummy for nausea so I would not puke but from what I have heard from friends they have not had issues breastfeeding no matter what birth control they had ever been on I have never breastfed but that was due to postpartum depression and having to take meds for it. I plan on bf this time around but I am not doing any birth control getting tubes tied since I have my second child after this one is born ( two is all I have ever wanted)   also discuss with your doctor about birth control methods too cause I know new ones have been made since my 1st son was born back in 2009.

Before getting pregnant I also had the mirena iud. I have nothing negative to say about it. I loved it. I didnt get pregnant, I didnt gain weight, didnt get any periods, anf I didnt have to remember to take it since it was already there. I was eeasy and hassle free. The only reason I took it out was because the 5 years we up. I wanted to get pregnant again so I didnt get a new one put it. I thought it would take months to conceive again but it only took a few months and now her I am. I plan on getting it again after I have this baby. Btw ive tried other birth control methods (patch, depo, pill, spermicide) and the mirena worked best for me. Also for a side note I did get pregnant with my oldest while on the depo

I vote for IUD as well. I prefer the copper T over the mirena but only because I don't like the hormonal effects.

I'll try iud. Heard good and bad but I wanted the implanon but it's gonna cost me a lot to get it removed when I won't have insurance.

I would say talk to your doctor/do research and find what works for you. For me, personally, I had the Mirena IUD. I know many people who have nothing but negative to say about it but I absolutely loved it. A pill doesn't work for me bc I would NEVERRRRRRR remember to take it, hahahaha! I figure I'll probably do an iud again.

Implanon is good as well good for three years but can be removed by your doc at any time. You can get pregnant very quickly and easily after it's taken out. It's just a very tiny rod placed subdermally into the fatty part of your arm on the back.  Ib had mine out late January and we were pregnant by march. :) I had mine for 2 1/2 years. Very easy to have put in and taken out simple in office procedure. Safe during breastfeeding also that's y I chose it. No pill no shots simple.

I'm considering the mini-pill for birth control after I have the baby. I want to breastfeed and have talked with other moms who are taking it and are able to breastfeed without a problem so far. Still looking into it..
