Yesterday my husband and I had our second little girl Roslin. We had an induction schedule for Saturday at 9 am. We arrived at the hospital and around 10 we were finally all hooked up to the IVs and got the pitocin started. Turns out I was having steady contractions already but I could bearly feel them. By 11 the pain was so bad I asked for my epidural. In my last delivery they had missed with the needle due to my scoliosis and it didnt work so I was very nervous about this one. but the doctor was so amazing and took her time and got it the first time! After we got settled the doctor came back and broke my water. I was only dilated to 4 cm at this point. By 330 I was ready to push! The doctors and nurses all came in and got set up and we did 3 sets of pushes and she was here! I bearly felt a thing, the epidural had worked so amazing! My husband cut the cord (which im surprised at the point he hadn't passed out!) We both cried like babies it was such a beautiful experience. She is so amazingly perfect. She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 19 inches long, born at 3:46 pm. The hospital we went to, from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, every person we came in contact with was so great. they went way out of their way to make sure all 3 of us were comfortable and had everything we needed. we stayed for 24 hours to make sure she was okay and passed all her tests and came home. Now our biggest challenge is breast feeding!!! Shes very stubborn!
Good luck to all the mamas still waiting. Be patient and when it is your time, treasure it. There is nothing better in this world to experience.
