blood pressure

Went to my appointment and my bp was 143/89 which is high for me. My readings up until now have been normal. Can't remember if there was protein in my urine or not, but I was sent to the hospital for bloodwork, urine sample, and NST. They also took 3 different bp readings during my NST. Everything ended up coming back fine and they did not find any protein in my urine, but not I am concerned about my bp and if I am getting preeclampsia. Anyone ever had something like this?

Thanks ladies.I am trying not to stress about it. I am almost at the end (37 weeks), so I am just wanting everything to continue to go smoothly.

You could be getting hypertension which is what I had for my first. But that was at the end of my pregnancy weeks 39/40. They took my BP at week 39 and it was high but just logged it. (Not too high to be concerning at the time) at week 40 they took it again and it was just slightly higher so they made me run through the ritual of preeclampsia test. They told me I had hypertension and  that they wanted to induce me the next day. I had them give me a sweep to see if I could get natural labor going which worked because I was back that night in labor.
Try to relax. I know that's hard to say but if your test came back fine then I'm sure you're fine. No need to worry until the next time they take your BP.

I had preeclampsia with my first.  Try to relax and not stress about it, take an extra few naps here and there.  If you had it, they would admit you and most likely induce.  They monitored me at the hospital four the days before they started to induce me because I was worried about how early he was and didn't want it.  I also refused meds that made me feel bad while in the hospital.  Being pregnant and among doctors and nurses can make you feel powerless, but you can take back that power.  Have a good support person to help make sure your wishes are known and respected.  It will be OK.  It may take some time, but it will be OK.

I purchased a auto BP monitor for home for about 70 dollars. It might not be the best but it gives me a guide.

I take it morning, evening and before bed. I don't stress about 1 spike. I wait 10 and take it again. It often goes from 133/80 to 112/65 in that time!

I find it helps me stay sane and I feel like im being proactive haha

If you can, buy a home blood pressure monitor and keep track of it at home. It could have been a spike due to stress. If it stays a little higher, they may give you a med to help keep it down until baby comes.
