Tons of water. Fiber rich fruit. Mini wheats!! I havnt had a problem in 25 weeks
i use prune juice if you pour it in a cup and chug it down like alcohol you dont taste it and it works well
Coconut oil worked for me very well. A few tablespoons begore going to bed and done
Tropical fruits like papayas & bananas always help. But don't take more than a piece of banana a day as it is considered 'cooling' to the body. And remember that even if you eat these fruits, you still have to drink lotsa water. And don't take 'heaty' food like chocolates, brownies, cookies, biscuits, burgers, grilled & deep fried foods because they will just slow your digestion down even more, and make your constipation worse.
It takes about 3-4 days for natural remedies to work. So be patient & consistent in your healthy diet! :-)
Eat mangos or pineapples, they really work. Actually,a lot of fresh fruits work. I don't take any of that over the counter stuff because it will start to damage your stomach and colon after too much use.
Eating prunes definitely helped me. I eat about 6 prunes a night and am very regular now. Also increase your daily water intake.
I too had this really bad in the end of my 2nd trimester. To the point were a enema seemed like the only answer. :( something i didnt want. I took over the counter meds and everythung. The only thing that helped me was PaPyA!! Its amazing. Its kinda gross by its self (to me personaly) but u mixed it in with a couple strawberries and a banana and made a smoothie. Eat the whole papya in on day. I promise it will work. Its like natures laxitive lol. Good luck hunny hope it works. I no feeling like that *****!
Thankyou to you all.fingers crossed something works.xx
I have read women should stay away from flaxseed while pregnant. I love protein shakes and smoothies and I always put blueberry flaxseed in it but a couple books I've read and videos I've seen from pregnancy chat.com have said that even though there is no solid proof of damage to the fetus, to stay away from flax seed and all unpasturized cheese and milk so be careful using them
Try some natural cherry juice. It worked for me and was way more pleasant than prune juice.
Man i feel ya, im one week away from the halfway Mark and im going crazy with this constipation. Juicing and eating fruit used to help but latley nothing has. Ive eaten an absurd amount of fruit latley with no luck. But just keep a good diet, do What the other ladies mention and if no luck talk with your doctor.
Well I can relate to this! I suffered from constipation early on in my pregnancy and I was prescribed a stool softener and they work. And ever since I've entered my 3rd trimester I've noticed it is making a reappearance. But I would recommend salad! Some type of ruffage...eat some greens...foods that naturally get your insides moving. It's works! At least it does for me! ;-) Good luck!
Flaxseed which you can get from any organic areas at the store helps tons. I had problems and im 18 +3 and adding a tbs w yogurt or granola or even some milk a day works wonders. Been clear for a week when was having six days w nothing.
I will b 34 weeks as of tomorrow and Ive never suffered of morning sickness, swollen feet, or constipation....I drink nothing but water and walk a lot....I eat lots of fiber as well. And yeah sometimes I sip a soda but I make sure to drink water right after it....I drink a bottle of water before I go to sleep....I usually sleep through the night but in the rare occasion of me waking up in the middle of the night to pee, I drink another bottle and go nite nite...just make sure u are drinking a lot of water and limit ur salt intake that takes care of the swelling. Hope this helps.
Other than an enema, drinking tons of water, and exercising I don't know of any natural remedies you can do at home. I actually took colace and Metamucil which my doctor recommended and is very safe. That's what got me thru!
Thank u for asking this question I'm in the exact same situation I'm in my first wk of my third trimester & I just started the constipation today!
I ended up going to the doctor as i too didnt want to buy over the counter solutions that can seem unsafe whilst pregnant.
I had serious back pain with constipation and the doctor prescribed me some lactolose which has been my best friend through these last few weeks! Hope you find a cure soon :D mum of 2+ 26w3d all girls
