i know..i think i was lucky!but i have a friend whose baby (3rd) has colic..im sure shes having dairy..so i will tell her this..im sure she wud appreciate the help..i cannot believe nobody ever told me!!
That's something new to me, I am glad you posted this. I never used lactation support I nursed four out of my five and just nursed never had advise. This is very interesting and if I have a problem in the future that I may need to change my diet. Hopefully I get lucky again and have no issues. Thanks for posting this.
hmm..but you still need a lot of calcium? so you're getting it from what..kale? :o
Appreciate it! I was advised to avoid dairy due to my son will get very gassy and an upset stomach. Of course i was advised in the beginning to eat whatever. But we noticed that he had discomfort with dairy.
I breastfed my daughter for 16months and have never heard to avoid dairy! Is this a more recent thing..shes nearly 8..or did i just not know :/
I never adjusted my diet. I ate whatever I wanted and actually increased dairy intake for the vitamins. I guess I was lucky because my babies had no tummy trouble and I even ate broccoli and spicy foods. I would think just obvious dairy like milk yogurt and similar items.
There is a great breastfeeding support group you can join on Facebook where you can get good advice. It's called Dairy Queens.
I just avoided the obvious dairy..ie milk cheese ice cream etc. After a few months I started slowly adding dairy to my diet and bubs was ok.
Usually you can eat things made with milk, like cookies and baked goods. Just avoid yogurt, cheese, milk, etc.
I dont know about that but I always had dairy while breastfeeding. The only things I avoided were like spicy things chocolate because it could upset their tummies.
