Today is wayyy better ive asked the nurses plenty of questions. It is normal some women take little longer than others to get milk but in the meantime baby is getting colostrum not sure how to spell that.

It does get easier. Keep at it :)
My boy had trouble latching on so I'm expressing my milk..  I like it because I can monitor how much milk he's actually getting, and he's got a good appetite

The first week or two is always a bit hard,  I read every book going etc and thought I was prepared  so I understand that deflated feeling. After some friendly encouragement and a bit more experience things got easier.  You're doing great, keep it up! If you get a little sore someone with breastfeeding coaching experience for help and advice. Before you know it you'll be making dinner and feeding baby at the same time haha. Good luck and I hope you heal nicely.

The contraction u get with breast feeds are a good sign that your uterus is shrinking !
