brushing teeth

J2G
I am in my first trimester with my 3rd pregnancy and have 24/7 nausea. Whenever I brush my teeth even if it's just for a second and barely any toothpaste, I throw up. Does anyone else have this issue or does anyone have any tips for me on how to prevent this? I am going to have a ton of cavities after this pregnancy.

I'm 25 weeks and still have it.  I dread brushing my teeth. I barely stick the toothbrush in my mouth and I gag. I've puked a few times. I tried different toothpastes but it didn't work. I'm down to brushing my teeth once a day and use mouthwash after I eat and before I go to bed.  I hate my teeth feeling gross so I can't wait til I can scrub them really well. I take zofran but only when it's really bad and it works wonders.  For when it's not so bad,  sucking on peppermints seems to settle my stomach.

Good luck. I wish i had an answer for u. I am in my 3rd trimester and have it maybe once a week now. I did have it everyday up until about 25ish weeks. I can brush now but not the inside of my way back teeth or my cheeks or tongue. Instead i tried to swish with Listerene as long as i could at least twice a day. Hope that helps for u too.

Try a different toothpaste/toothbrush.... I had to go buy a tongue cleaner/scraper thing cause I would gag so bad. Its flatter and helped that some use mouthwash too!

Im in my third trimester and I have this problem every morning. I've switch tooth paste 5 times. I've been on zofran, suppositories. Nothing helps. Doctor say some women have sickness throughout whole pregnancy. Good luck

I'm in my second trimester and that hasn't gone away, I gag every time. Try different toothpastes, I found one that barely foams, it helps a lot
