I lift weight . 300 pounds and I do squats .. but now that I'm pregnant I don't want to take the risk of getting my baby in trouble.  Danger .. what type of exercises can you do ? Now and how long and often at week. .

I used to lift weights for my lower body along with doing cardio, both 4 days a week. I lowered the weight I was doing because I didn't want to overdo it and also as my pregnancy progressed I just couldn't do as much. But I upped how long i do my cardio to make up for the calorie burn. But that I also had to adjust by lowering inclines and speeds as I got further along. Plus there are some weight machines that are next to impossible to do when once your belly grows. And some muscles and tendons just start to ache from the motions.

If you're used to lifting weights, you can keep lifting weights, but I would take it down to a level where you are not straining against the load. Any workout that your body is used to doing, you can continue, but reduce it so that you're not putting undue stress on your body. Also make sure that you're able to breathe evenly and completely. Baby needs oxygen.
