I've had the same pain, I thought I just moved my bed wrong or something. Maybe Ill have to ask my Dr about it and see if it's a pregnancy thing.
I've had problems with carpal tunnel for 5 or 6 years because I'm a pianist and used to play for 4-5 hours a day. When it's aggravated, I wear arthritis braces to bed, and they really seem to help.
I bought a pair from Wal-Mart for less than $10. They're fabric, tan colored, and have a velcro strap that wraps around the wrist. Wearing them while you sleep and around the house really helps.
It's also helpful to massage your carpal tunnels. To do this, press your fingers firmly in between the radius and ulna and massage up and down your forearm.
Finally, it's important to stretch your carpals. Hold your forearm at a 90 degree angle to your body with the palm facing up, place the opposite hand, palm down, on your hand, and press down as far as is comfortable.
Hope these help!

Yep I had it and was told it's common during pregnancy. It went away after a few weeks.
