I am 6 weeks 3 days yesterday I had an ultrasound and we saw the heartbeat. I've already had one miscarriage and kinda being a spazzy but what are the chances of having another after seeing the heartbeat?  No vaginal bleeding

meredith,  do you know why you miscarried the first one?  Often,  women have early miscarriages that are called "blighted ova" which just means the fertilized egg never really did start growing well.  The egg implants into the uterine wall but the baby doesn't really ever start developing.

What you have here is a viable normal healthy early pregnancy - which is a different thing.

With your first miscarriage,  was it a blighted ovum or did you also have a healthy baby growing that suddenly stopped growing?

The first ultra sound was when I found out I'd miscarried.  All there was was a sac at 5 weeks 4 days

Meredith,  that sounds like a blighted ovum to me.

You're way ahead of that now,  with a normally developing embryo and a heartbeat!  I was right where you are - my first ended in a blighted ovum and my second pregnancy went great.

Enjoy it and congratulations.
