clear discharge and contractions

Hey ladies,
This morning I noticed some thick clear discharge.  I am 40 weeks pregnant. Contractions are very few and not very painful. They only occur when baby moves. Is that normal?

I'm on my 39th week and have had this clear discharge aftr about 4 weeks now.. I was so freaked out that It was my amniotic fluid, but that wasn't it..  went to er twice for this.. Now m convinced its just discharge or even pee.
If it soaks through urliner u wd have to go to an er.. U might be leaving ur amniotic fluid.. Which is fairly common at the end of the pregnancy!
Or else there shdnt be anything to worry about.

Call your doctor, everyone feels labor pains differently. Its better to be safe than sorry.
