cold/flu -symptoms /rib pain from sneezing

Hi girls,
Since 7 or 8weeks into my pregnancy I've had cold/flu like symptoms with sneezing, coughing and runny nose.

I am now week 18 and I got my ribs inflamed in week 15.. (only the ribs on my right side) due to the frequent sneezing.
So when I sneeze it is incredibly painful.

I was wondering if anyone else is suffering from these symptoms?
I can easily find the same on google but my OB seems confused as to why I have this..

This makes me more exhausted than I already am and I find myself getting bitter and depressed over not being able to enjoy anything.

All I do is spend my energy on work and the rest I just sleep or stay in bed at home.
My weekends has never been more dull.

Anyone else in the same situation?

The timing sounds right for seasonal allergies in most locales too.  I would also recommend treating it like allergies and seeing if it gets any better.  I've had seasonal allergies my whole life and I have definitely become sore in my chest and abdomen from sneezing/coughing.  If allergy treatments don't work, you can also try a humidifier.  Like mentioned, stuffy noses are common during pregnancy, and the coughing could be from the air in your home being very dry.  A humidifier might help.

Sounds like seasonal allergies. Stuffy noses are very common in pregnancy too. And lots of coughing will become painful even not pregnant.

Sinus Rinse works really well for stuffy and runny  noses. It is dug free and entirely safe during pregnancy.
You can also try Zyrtec. It is the safest allergy medicine to use while pregnant and the most effective of all the overt the counter options. But do check with your doctor before taking it.
