This is so weird to some but I love cold hot dogs. I'm pregnant and have eaten one a day for the passed three days. I just read they could have something in them.. do you think that is bad?? Or should I just stop eating them? :/

I had eaten a hot dog that wasn't really warmed well while pregnant and got so sick. I was throwing up everything I tried to keep down. I have not eaten another one in over a year & 1/2 now. I would try to warm them up just to be safe.

Unheated hot dogs can have something called Listeria in it. My doctor said its rare but very bad for the baby if you do eat one with it. She said to make sure if you eat them to heat them to steaming hot to kill the Listeria. Same with lunch meat.

I ate three that were not cooked??? :/ does it have to be in massive amounts to affect your baby??

I spoke to my doctors and she saod if you make sure its piping hot all the way through any bacteria will be killed!! :-)

Make sure you warm it up listeria is a bacteria that thrives on that kind of stuff.

They say to warm them up, I've eaten them with all my pregnancies and never had a problem

You shouldnt eat hot dogs, lunch meat from deli, or bologne.
