contractions

Has any one around 29 weeks been having contractions?  Last night just past 4am mine were so painful they woke me up. They were about 30 seconds long, about 3-4 minutes apart. Lasted until past 5am. Seems a little early for them to be so consistent and painful, but I never had Braxton hicks with my first so I'm not 100% sure what to expect.

That's the thing, I brought it up to my ob, and she didn't seem at all concerned. She said to come in if I start leaking fluid or bleeding.

Interesting, thank you for that input. Mine will literally be like bad menstrual cramps in my pelvis and back, last for about 30 seconds, then stop. Then it will start again about 3 minutes later. I ended up having a c section. With my first, so I never really experienced labor or labor pains.

I believe if you have more than 4 in one hour that's when its recommended to call your doctor? I do have some BH sometimes but its not more than one an hour (at least that I notice.) I do however get abdominal cramps but they last for like 30 minutes or an hour, straight They don't come and go it's just a constant cramp so maybe not the same as what you are talking about. Those ab cramps do wake me up though. (31 wks here.)
