I'm 25+5, I got my flu shot 2months ago.. Can I still get the flu? I was exposed a little over a week ago, now I'm achy sore throat congestion n a bad bad cough, n low grade temp. I'm also diabetic type 2.. I'm not sure what to do, call my ob or go to a regular Dr or just wait it out.. Any thoughts ladies??

Definitely call one of them and they can do a rapid flu test....yes you can still get the flu, even after getting the vaccine...keep hydrated and keep any fever down....but call ME!! Good luck!!

We've been seeing cases of Influenza A in patients who were immunized this year! Because the vaccine is made based off of last years strains and the strains have an entire year to mutate-there's always the chance of getting it even though you've had the vaccine! Make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids and take Tylenol as needed for pain and fever control! I would contact your OB and see what they think (: get to feeling better mommy!
