forgot to post birth story

So as some of you know, I was scheduled for my repeat c section last Wednesday morning. We had to be to the hospital for 5:30 a.m. I got maybe abb hour or two of sleep. We got to the hospital, registered and walked down to OB. I got in a gown and was immediately hooked up. They made me sign some papers and drink the nasty stuff to coat my belly. I was wheeled down to the surgical holding area but first they stopped and got me a warm blanket. :) Waiting was the worst part but my hubby made it bearable. Finally, I said goodbye to my hubby and was wheeled off. They helped me on to the table and prepped my back. They had me hug a pillow tight while the nurse hugged me tight. The spinal wasn't so bad. They laid me down and before I knew it, I was nauseous. The anesthesiologist gave me stuff in my iv and it went away. It came back and he gave me more but not before I threw up.  Hubby came in right as I was puking. (Just like last time.) It seemed like it was taking forever. I heard my dr say she had hair and that she was tiny. Seemed like an eternity before she finally came out. She started crying and so did I. Then they held her up and I cried harder. They cleaned her up and brought her to see me. I gave her kisses and they took pictures. Then she left with my husband while they delivered the placenta and closed. While in recovery, they brought her to me and she nursed instantly. I left the hospital on Friday. My stay was amazing and I will be writing a letter to the wonderful OB nurses. She was born at 8:16 a.m. at 6 lb 12 oz and was 19". She's a week old. My 4 year old son is amazing with her. We have newborn photos scheduled for tomorrow. Sorry this was long...and I stopped myself, it could've been way longer!!

I had a brain fart. She was born at 6 lb 11 oz, not 12. She dropped to 6 lb 2 oz and then was up to 6 lb 7 oz. She's a little peanut.

Thank you everyone! I was out of bed that night and the next day the catheter and iv were removed. I even got to shower and wear my own clothes. Recovery has been good. Had my post op appointment yesterday and they said I'm healing great. She was released at 6 lb 2 oz. At her follow up appointment on Monday, she was up to 6 lb 7 oz! She nurses like a champ!! I could not have had a better experience!!
