Abnormal with my first during 1st check up, made me wait till after baby for colpospy.. to me it was PAINFUL. Like someone stabbed my cervix with an ice pick. That was 2010. I have to get pap every year to make sure everything is ok. I don't remember how or why they said I got it though? But you'll have peace of mind after it's all done :)

I'm not completely sure abt hvp every leaving ur body. Cuz it was still there when it was just getting treated n with the freezing but once they cut out the part that it was it. All my test come back negative of having it. I've even gonna to different doctors to get tested n they always come back negative of me having it in my body. Doc say that it's because nothing was left that had it so it won't spread.

Yes u can still have kids after ur cervix is removed. This is my 2nd pregnancy after it. They just check u n if ur cervix is not string enough they can put a stitch ot two. Lucky I haven't needed that. But that is y I am very careful with what I eat n keep a healthy diet n exercise all during my pregnancy so the baby n i dont gain any unnecessary weight. So the baby is not to heavy for my cervix to hold.

I have had abnormal PAPs for over 5 years now. I had a one and a half year old with no issues and several colposcopies and biopsies. One abnormal PAP could have been caused my many many things, one irregular PAP is nothing at all to worry about, just make sure you follow up when your Dr. tells you to. Also HPV never leaves your body. It could be what is causing the abnormal PAP It's extremely common and you could have easily got it well before you met your boyfriend and have just not been tested for it, it can cause cervical cancer, but again if you've only had one abnormal PAP I wouldn't be concerned.

I have an abnormal one every other time I have a Pap. This time I was pregnant and it came back abnormal and my doctor didn't say anything about it. It's pretty common I believe.

I had an abnormal test many years ago when I was younger. It ended up being hpv which is a std it leads to cervical cancer. Then I did a leep (to freeze it) but didn't work so they had to remove part of my cervix. That did it n since then I'm very careful with who I got involved with. N when I met my husband he has been the only one. So ever since my pap is normal. Hopefully this is not ur case

Abnormal pap smears are surprisingly common and most of them time retesting shows nothing except that they couldn't test it properly the first time.
