ftm. normal or not?!

I'm 18 weeks and all day today I've been having pressure in my stomach with some random pains. Like if I lean forward or sit certain ways I'll get a sharp pain in my stomach. I'm a ftm so everything worries me.

Thanks for asking this. I am 17.4 and have been having pains also. I figured it might have been stretching but was sure.

I've had the same exact pains your describing in my second trimester and asked the doctor about it. She said it's called round ligament pain, it's your uterus stretching to accommodate baby growing. It's completely normal but if you are worried best thing to do is ask your doctor what he/she thinks next time you're in for a visit or give a phone call to the office.

I agree it sounds like ligament pains.  With my 2nd pregnancy I got a belly band for the pain, it helped a lot. It helps to support the weight and take pressure off your ligaments. I only needed it during my 2nd trimester and surprisingly didn't need it my 3rd.  I ordered mine off of Amazon.

It sounds like round ligament pain which is basically caused by everything stretching.  I had it a lot around then and i'm a first time mum too. If you're genuinely concerned ring your midwife but it's probably nothing to worry about xx
