full term?

I keep hearing different things as to what full term is, a lot say 36w, some 37, and I've even heard 38, I'm going to ask my Dr. when I see him this week, but was wondering what you ladies think also?  thankyou!

37 weeks, but take it from me keep that baby in even longer, I had my youngest son at 37 weeks he was born with a hole in his lung and was under developed they found out that from how he acted and problems he was probably really only 35 or 36 weeks. He was in the nicu a little over two weeks before he got to come home

I recently read an article (believe it was Parenting magazine) that's says that 37 weeks is no longer going to be considered full term. The reason is because they have learned that there is still a lot of brain development going on in weeks 37 and 38. It said that weeks 37 & 38 are considered "early term" and weeks 39 and on are full term.
