gender by heart rate?

Had my first ultrasound today. Baby decided to be bottoms up and have legs crossed the whole time even after trying to coax it around. The only clue i have to gender is the heart rate until i go in again. It clocked in at 161bpm, i was just wondering if the old wives tales were true about it being a girl if over 140bpm. Or if its still a 50/50 chance.
