gestational diabetes...

I don't believe I have it, with my bs readings they seem within the norm non diabetic range...  My lowest first thing in morning is 4.9 before breakfast..  Going upto 7.3 2hrs after eating  breakfast...  Confused!

Oh I see so changing the things I eat, so more eggs and cheeses etc...?  Yes markymess  porridge is the same as oatmeal and crumpets are a little like muffins lol

I just looked at a conversion chart. Your fasting is good. But after meals is high. They usually want 6.2 and lower 1 hour after meals. Maybe because your 2 hr is a little higher then they want. I would try pairing a protein with your breakfast. It usually helps your body obsorb carbs better. Eggs, cheese etc.

What are crumpets? Lol and isnt porridge the same thing as oatmeal? In the states things are pretty different. I personally think its neat.

Oh BTW my Dr still has to see them readings yet as I only got a paired gtt on Thursday so was told to use home blood glucose monitor and go back with results on Tuesday

There from a blood glucose home testing kit,  I think in England we test in mmol hun..

Those numbers don't sound like glucose levels. Are you giving hemoglobin A1C numbers?

I just have porridge or toast or crumpets... I'm due too see diabetes Dr,  Dietian on Tuesday I just don't understand the readings how they possibly think I'm gd I know it's based on fact how long your body takes to break down sugars etc which if it's long leads a gd diagnosis but pretty much 2hrs after eating I've gone back between 5& 6 which 2hrs after eating is good for non diabetic can be upto 10 2hrs after...  It just boggles my brain

I'm a opposite. My morning wake is high. Above the 5.3. After meals I'm less than the 6.9. What are you having for breakfast? I'm stuck having a cup of oatmeal with milk. No fruits during my meals, only snacks. No pop or juice. I'm on day time insulin if my dinner Dont impoverishe.
