Should I feel guilty? Long but please read

I'm 25 weeks today, i've been thinking alotabout my daily caffeine intake.  Towards the beginning of my pregnancy I cut back a little, but i've noticed as time progressed, I drink roughly 5 mtn. dews a day. Is this harmful to the baby? It says online caffeine can be the cause of miscarriage, but i'm well past the point of being able to have one and i'm glad I cut down when I did. I've gone to the tanning bed a handful of times as well..one of my physicians said it was alright to go every once in a while, but the other specifically said no. Also, are warm baths considered to be harmful during pregnancy? Should I feel guilty for doing these things, everything seems to be going fine the doctor's say my baby girl is healthy, and I know there's women who do alot worse like smoking and drinking while pregnant who deliver perfectly healthy babies..should I feel guilty?

I had a bad coffee addiction through all my pregnacys.. my babies were all fine except my last was born very early... I know it wasn't due to my coffee drinking but I did blame that a little. Part of a premys meds in most cases is caffeine so I kinda had a giggle :-/ there are some good decafe coffee's around now maybe try that then once a week treat yourself to a extra lrg cappuccino :-)

Yes.its bad. I drank 3 cups of coffee a day w my last son and he was.born I had  small placenta and he had iugr and barely 3,lbs. Not to say that's the only thing that caused.it (the docs said it.most likely did though).or that your.baby won't be fine. But what if it really harms your child worse than that are you ready to live with yourself?? I stopped.drinking caffeine all together after that and I have less anxiety and feel better all around. Mountains dew.is the worst soda you can have. That's wrong. One soda is.one thing but 3 is excessive.

Ive been drinking mountian dew im 16.3weeks.. I've tried quitting and got extremely sick because that's all i drank before pregnancy. My doctor told me that it's ok to drink it just pour it in a cup full of ice to help dilute it..

Every woman is different.  It ia hard to determine what is ok and what isn't for other women. My first child came 2 and a half months early and I abided by every rule, was meticulous about my diet and physical activity.  I did everything right according to "pregnancy rules".  No drinking, no smoking (never a smoker), no tanning, etc.  I did everything they said and I had a perfect pregnancy up until 6.5 months and then she came.  So even when someone does everything by the book, things can go wrong. You need to determine what is best for you and your child.  The best way for that to happen is keeping open and honest communication with your doctor.

OK this is my bad first off this app drives me nuts for some reason when I read this post I could only see the first part of it about drinking soda so I understand more why you would think she is being selfish now that I read the rest of the post. Oops dang pregnancy hormones make my mouth go faster than my brain sometimes only 10 days left though and I'll be back to normal ladies sorry if I offended you.

She was asking for opinions and that's what she got. You know what's idiotic? Sugar coating the risk of what she's doing.

1) I think if you drop caffine entirely like cold turkey it will do more harm than drinking what you do since your body is accomodated to what you have been doing. So if anything just start by drinking 4 a say and then less and less 1-2 wont hurt anything 2) you can have a misscarriage at anytime in your pregnancy, the risk just goes down a lot after 12 weeks. 3) i would stay away from the tanning beds, super dangerous even when you arent pregnant. 4) warm baths are not harmful as long as your internal body temp does not go over 102°

5mth dews is alot of caffeeine and sugar. You need to be careful bc dont want to develop diabetes, maybe cut it down two a day! If your dr says tanning is ok, than go for it.
