Should I do a blood pregnancy test

Hello everyone!

I just had my first child on February 25th 2013 and I bleed for a week and a few days and since then I had my first period on May 8 to the 15 and another on June 15 to the 18 and I breast feed my son daily and I give him formula when we travel. My question is my urine test didn't show I was pregnant until I was 6 1/2 months pregnant and I experience the same promblem the first time I was pregnant and I had a miscarrige and now this time around I haven't been vomiting but I feel like I'm pregnant and me and my husband since the birth of our son been having sex since he was only 13 days old unprotected. What should I do? Should I request and blood test and an ultrasound and ask to check for a heart beat also?  Please someone help me with some friendly advice please. And we are keeping him or her if I am pregnant but I would love to know in advance so I can take care of my self even better than I did sincd I had my son. I'd go hours with out eating now and I know its not healthy or right so I'm trying to make sure our children are well taken care of.

Ask for the blood test, but not the ultrasound until the doctor tells you if you are indeed pregnant.

Fully agree with Shas, (tangent- hope you don't mind I say Shas, Shastas. One of my bffs is named Shas and I always think of her when I see you on here;)
Seriously Mrs. A, It sounds like your body has a hormone mind of its own anyway, especially sibce you got your period back so quickly while breastfeeding. I think typically it takes 6-12 months to get back on a regular schedule while nursing. You could be feeling strange from your hormones readjusting, but If it seems out of sorts- get checked, for your own piece of mind.

I say trust your instincts. Go talk to the dr & explain why you are asking for the tests. It could be you feel some of the symptoms because you're breast feeding. But, better to know once and for all so you can take whatever steps needed. :)
