hospital gowns~

Any advice or recommendations for inexpensive but nice quality and decent looking hospital gown? My hospitals are SUPER ugly. Nastly grey with blue like trim and different colored triangles lol. Seriously. Everyone says I'm being a spoiled brat but I hate the way they feel on my skin and would like something at least a little bit pretty. I'm thinking of maybe just buying a medium length night gown since I don't plan on having an epidural. Anyone else not feeling the stardard gown?

and if you just google: Birthing gowns
You'll find plenty of options. :)

In my childbirth class given by the hospital they said we can wear whatever we want.  Some things to keep in mind are easy access to belly back and breasts for monitoring, spinal, and skin to skin.  The 3d ultrasound place actually sells labor gowns here.  They are low in the back, tie in the front and around neck but are cute like a little sundress.  I'm going to wear that. A quick Google search will get u to some websites with options as well. Good luck! And u deserve to feel ur best during labor, so wear what will make u feel great and comfy!

I think the hospital gown is easier for them to do their business, In case of an emergency... but im also lazy.. and don't care... Lol

Well you really only need to wear the gown during labor so I don't think they're a big deal but I would get one that has it where the top has snaps for skin to skin immediately a night gown won't have that.

I've always worn my own gowns, PJ, comfy clothes in the hospital...never wore their gowns. When I gave birth to my second all I did was strip off my pants, but then again I was only on the maternity floor for about 10min before I had her, all I had time for was stripping my pants off.
There is nothing written anywhere that it is mandatory to wear the hospital gowns.
I had gotten my gowns from motherhood, I bought the nursing gowns since I new that was what I was planning to do once baby was born.
Good luck with finding something cute :-)

I plan to use my own gown. You can Google it and some good options come up. I definitely want something that looks flattering and not something someone probably died in :/
