Thank you for your comments just a terrified mum to be here lol
I had an epidural and I'm glad I did. I ended up having to have a c-section and they were able to take me to OR right away. All they had to do was add more so I wouldn't feel anything. I just didn't feel like I had anything to prove to anyone by not getting an epidural. I can be supermom some other time. Lol I wanted to be somewhat comfortable but its a personal choice..good luck :)

Have any of you had epidural with c section? If so what is it like? Thank you
I had an epidural and only felt a pinch if that. I highly recommend it to friends and fam, unless u decide to do drug-free.
I'd rather feel the contractions then an epidural. Women have been giving birth for thousands of years without one and only 50 or so with. Of course it is your choice but I recommend not getting one. The pooping feeling comes when you sre ready to push whether you have an epidural or not.
Is spinal the same thing as having epidural x
They give u a shot in ur back to numb it b4 they put the real thing in its really not that bad and I'm like super scared of neddles but I'm not going to lie with both of my kids my epi didn't work both times so i felt every thing :(
It is definitely a weird sensation as they do it but they should talk you through it so you know what to expect. It is totally worth it. Right after it was put in I got a contraction and the anesthesiologist said 'enjoy it it's gonna be your last one' and ten seconds later I didn't feel a thing. He stayed and chatted with me for five minutes and after he left the nurse asked how the two contractions I had during our conversation and my answer was 'what contractions?'
Didnt feel a thing? From what people are saying it dont sound to bad i guess just know i will freak out when time comes
I had mine when my contractions were back to back and i didbt feel a thing! i was in too much pain! I was so relieved when it kicked in:)
Thank you just petrified of it, i had a lumberpuncture done when i had viral meningitis and it was a terrible time could of been as i had a junior doctor do it without local anaesthastic x
All I felt was a pinch n maybe a little bit of a sting, but nothing major. I just didn't want to feel no more contractions. But ur mind is not even going to be thinking about how it feels... Ur just gonna be happy when u Dont feel no more contraction pain:-)
All I remember is a little pressure around spot the needle was being injected...the contractions will take your mind off any pain associated with the epidural so don't worry.
Thank you for your comments
I had an epidural while being extremely anemic. As long as the anesthesiologist is good, there shouldnt be a problem. The numbing shot hurt but I wasn't prepared for the poke. That is the worst part.
Anyone had epidural on blood thinners?
Thank you loads for comments read horror stories about people feeling a popping sensation, wish you all well with pregnancy and birth, thanks again
^^ exactly right ! Didn't feel it because of the numbing shot they give you first...
I have had three so far and will have one this time. The other ladies are right by the time you get it you will love it lol. With me the numbing stuff feels like a bee sting but you don't feel anything else :)
I had a spinal with my first and an epidural with my second, I felt a little pinch that was it. They numb the site first before putting it in so it wasn't bad.
I had one the contractions were worse because they numb you first for a epidural then once it's in, no pain
I had one wif my first , I honestly didn't feel a thing , I was more scared bout hving to feel another contraction. Lol it was ova so quick
