i have a ? for c section moms

This is my fourth baby first c section and was wondering if any of you were able to still breastfeed? From what I have read its harder for c section babies to latch.

I've had two csections, nursed each time w/out any issues. I think people say it is harder bcuz it can be uncomfortable (although I didn't have any issues with that at all). Bring w U, Ur nursing pillow that may make it easier. Also try different ways of holding the baby-such as the football hold, where the babies head is facing in towards Ur chest & feet are back by Ur elbow. When at the hospital if U have any problems talk to the lactation specialist on staff, they can give U added pointers. Good luck.

Never heard of that. I've had 2 csections and both of my kids nursed like champs. I guess I don't see the correlation.

I breastfeed right away after my son was born. Unfortunately he was born with jaundice and nursing made it worse. He eventually had to go on formula since the pump we bought was broken and the company wouldn't replace the parts.

This will be Mt 4th c section.  I have nursed Every one of them just fine.  The only trouble I had was with my first but that was because my nipples were inverted.

My daughter still latched even after they gave her a bottle because i wasn't producing anything yet. You just have to be consistent with it.
