At every appointment the doc should take a urine sample from you and can tell if there is protein in it. If he is concerned about the amount he will order a 24 hr urine catch where you collect all of your urine in a bucket for 24 hrs then turn it in to a lab to analyze. Then it can be determined if there is too much or not.
Thank you :) for the answers
Thank you and i will try not to stress out or think about it
How can they check for a protein test?? what are they going to do if i have protein in my urine?
I had protein in my urine. My OB recommended I do a 24 hour urine catch and about two weeks later I had to do another. Their lab tested them and my second levels were higher than my first. Because of that, a significant amount of swelling, sparkles in my vision, and GD, they induced me a week before my DD. They were afraid I would get high blood pressure and develop preeclampsia. Talk to your doctor and find out just how concerned they are. Good luck and best wishes!
Too much protein in urine is a possible sign of preeclampsia. How do you know protein is in your urine? The doctor should run tests to determine how much protein is in your urine and if there is need for concern he should let you know.
Aww, try not to stress! This is my second time with preeclamplsia and I've never been able to see protein in my urine. Protein has always been my last symptom to show up, there were a lot of other signs before then. Like the other ladies said, if you're worried see your dr for some peace of mind!
If you're very worried, go in. That's what they are there for (and what you're paying for). Never sit and worry in silence. If you have a concern, take it to them. You'll have such peace of mind after you do :) Good luck honey!
I'm very scared idk if it's protein or something else... not to long ago i had yeast infection because it's already cured with a pill idk what to do??? :( :(
It depends on how much protein is in your urine. The dr will be able to tell you if its in a normal range or not.
Protein in your urine is not good. You should have it checked out at your drs office. It can be a sign of inadequate water intake or a more serious complication.
