We dont vaccinate, after the research Ive done I feel its the best decission for us. There are exemptions for school requirments. If your thinking about a delayed schedule, dr. Sears has a good plan. You can just google it.
My daughters two month vaccines were 3 shots and one oral and they covered 8 illnesses. There is no way it should be 6 shots at once.
I just think that if my child got sick from not being immunised how it could so easily have been prevented. I think the risks far outweigh the benefits. I could never forgive myself.
Our kids are all in private school (where I teach) and are allowed to exempt out of immunizations. In CO you can do that anyway. But many of our friends dont immunize and Ive noticed lately that they are always sick....same families. While others, like us, who kind of spread them out or pick and choose the shot, seem to get over things much faster. Just a weird observation. We like to travel with the kids when we can afford it, and you cant guarantee that they wont be exposed to something somewhere.
My son is vaccinated as will this one. I agree with the other ladies.
I did just want to point out that while 4thone is correct you need to check the laws in your state some states have very lack exemption laws while others are very strict about who can get exemptions.
Lol. Yeah I tell him the same thing... But its just the Way he feels about them in general. If we decide to go threw with them this time. just like someone said... About spreading them apart so they won't give all 6 shots at one time,I may do that instead.
The shots are perfectly fine.. tell ur husband to stop GOOGLING ! I had the same thoughts
Both my sons are vaccinated and my daughter just got her 2 month vaccinations today. I'm pro vaccines especially with the increased number of people moving to the US from other countries that don't vaccinate. Pertussis was virtually eradicated in the mid 70s and we have recently seen a lot of people becoming ill with it and I believe that it is due to the number of people choosing not to vaccinate. Last winter 2 infants that attend the childcare center I work at were hospitalized because of whooping cough. Illnesses like mumps, measles, polio are popping up in the US in increased numbers. Has it become an epidemic? No but that's not to say it couldn't become one if enough people decide not to vaccinate. Yeah its a personal choice but its a choice that affects those around you.
Actually you don't have to have her immunized to put them in school you go to the health building and get an exemption and then they are free to go to school, I've never had a shot and neither have any of my children
I give my kids all of them. As Melissa says the diseases are a lot worst them getting a few shots. But one thing we did with our daughter is we had them spread them out so she only would get 2 at a time but would get shots every week till she had all for that age group. My daughter was a perimee and couldn't handle 6 shots at once but this way she was never behind on her shots
I agree with julz. Schools require vaccinations. But I vaccinate my children because the disease is worse than the side effects of the vaccine. There is a lot of false information out there on the negatives of the vaccines. Do be cautious.
When she gets into school all those shots you didn't give her she will have to get to be able to start school. It will be harder on her later if you opt out
