I had it earlier in my pregnancy. I just did my second scan (33 weeks) and everything was good. Good luck to both of you. Try to stay positive you still have time for it to move up:)
I was told that I had placenta previa with my last pregnancy. I never had bleeding, was full of energy and never sick (unlike this pregnancy), and I never had a contraction before my csection (which was 3 days before my due date. Doctor never told me that I shouldn't have sex like other women have stated before on here and he never gave me a weight limit for lifting until I asked at 36 weeks. I don't know why I would have been lied to, but once I did look it up it seemed like my doctor was treating it like a joke!
I read all about on the internet and was terrified that the placenta would be imbedded in my uterus and that they'd have to take my uterus with it causing me to be infertile with my first child at 24.
DON'T go worry about all the stuff you read! Most of it is in extreme situations and you wouldn't be able to prevent anyway. If it comes, deal with it then, because you don't want to be like I was bawling in a nurses arms while you're getting a spinal just because I was scared of what could have the slightest chance of happening.
The truth is, I had a csection, the recovery did suck, but I am here healthy (pregnant for the second time) and so is my 17 month old daughter! Also, your placenta has like 20 weeks to move away from you're cervix and it does move for 90% of the women diagnosed with placenta previa! So good luck and you don't have to worry too much until you know for sure that it hasn't moved (I think they checked again at 30-some weeks.)
I have it. I am going in for a second scan when I am 32 weeks to see if it has moved at all. Most of the time I heard it does so I am trying not to stress too much. If I end up having a c-section then so be it. It will all be okay in the end though. I would stay off Google too lol that can scare the crap out of anybody.
