induction ladies help me!!

Hey ladies im 40 weeks and 5 days i am overweight i went into l&d friday night for induction they used prostin gel i went in sat morn no change they gave me a second dose i went in sat night no change then they gave me the third and last dose i went in this morning (sunday) im still 1cm and 30% my cervix is still high is there any other options i can ask for? as my ob whom is new said only option is csection.Which ill only want incase of.complication has anyone knows of methods to ask for ive tried walking castor oil spicy foods sex nothing works :(

I got induced with cervidil and then pitocin I recommend standing next to your bed if they let you and rocking you hips in a circular motion and squating through the contractions. Helped me dialated .

Any reason they're inducing now? 40 +5 is pretty early still... The safest option (if there's no medical conditions) is just wait and let your body prepare itself naturally... Some people say long walks started labour for them, I found sex helped, a friend swore by acupuncture... lots of natural things you could try in the next week or so...

Um, yeah I'm surprised they haven't tried pitocin. That's the usual induction drug of choice.

ive known people who didnt have the baby until 42 wks so u still have a week before they should consider csec. squatting, walking, yoga ball?

It's more painful but you can also get induced using pitocin

Oh and just so you know weight has nothing to do with it:)

Ask for cervidel its a little tablet thing that they put in your cervix and ot helps soften and dialat then they should give you patocin iv to start contractions
