is it normal?

Is it normal to be 29 weeks and your baby already weighs 3 and a half pounds thats big. Im a ftm. I had a appointment earlier this week and i was 28 weeks and 2 days that was Monday and they said im 29 cm and im a lil over 28 weeks the doctor really confused me. I just tried to ask as many questions as i can so that i can understand better. So if any of you moms can help me out than that would be great. I'm just a lil worried that my baby will be big and won't be able to fit some of her newborn outfits i brought her hopefully thats not the case. Also another thing that kind of worries me next time i go to my appointment which is like in another week im afraid when they do the measurements that she will tell me the baby is about five pounds and i will only be 31 weeks and 3 days. So if any of you experienced mothers can help me out than that would be great thanks. And sorry for the long paragraph lol :-)

My baby's estimated weight at 28wks was 3lb, which is in the 50th percentile so I'd say it's a good weight. I wouldn't worry too much. The other thing is babies grow at different rates and have growth spurts so it may be that when you go back, weight may have slowed or may slow later on. And bear in mind it is only estimated, they can't know for sure how much any baby weighs until it arrives, scans can be out by anything up to like 8oz either way :)

Or this App I think says how much babies gain per week toward the end if you look ahead a bit.
