is it safe to assume that i am pregnant?

I took a hpt on friday(5 days past period due date) ,the test said that i was not pregnant. I took another test Monday(8 days past period due date) and this test came back positive. Then i took another test today(9 days past) and i got another "pregnant" result. Is it safe to assume that i am pregnant? If so ,what a difference that 3 days makes!

Do you remember when you took all the tests? I will be 10 days late on Saturday so ill take a test then.  I have 2 kids but I just can't remember when I took the preg tests. :)

yes u most liely are and congrts i had 3 negatives before a positive and took another to make sure we are now 24 weeks and going strong. welcome to the baby mama club lol

9 out of 15 women test negative until weeks 7-8. As i said i was negative friday and positive monday! Hcg doubles every 3 day. So wait until u are atleast 10 days late before u test.

Thanks for your post. I am currently 6 days past my period due date. I have taken a test pretty much every day and they have all been negative. (I guess I like to torture myself) :/ I'm trying to be patient because I really feel like I am pregnant. I didn't realize you had to wait so long to get a positive.

Congrats..you are most definitely pregnant! False positive pregnancy tests are very rare and usually only caused by some medications. Still, most of us use quite a few tests before the reality of it sinks in :-)

Thank you! I have an appt tomorrow at 2:45. Im so excited. I have one child now and she was born in 2000. So its been along time since I was pregnant. Im so excited! I had an iud(mirena) for 5 years and i had it removed on Feb 11 '13. And my period came back March 28th. And now im pregnant after one cycle. I didnt have a period with the mirena. So I had one period in almost 5 years and now im pregnant! The doctor told me tht you regain fertility quickly but i had no idea tht it I wld get pregnant this quickly after removal. Im sorty if im rambling. Im just so happy. I feel so blessed!

I would say yes you're pregnant. For some tests and some people's hormone levels those days do make a difference:) congrats. I would call your doctor to get your paperwork started and they might want you to take a test in the office for them to confirm the result and it will put your mind at ease to see that positive result too.
