Yes that is the same thing they told me but its still scary!! They didnt do a ECG for my baby they told me I have to get an echo scan done. I'm not to sure what the difference is but she gets that done on the 19th. Good luck to you and baby!! I'll be praying for you both.

They have said its only a slight murmur they did a ecg and weren't to worried I will have to go back for a follow up appointment tho to see what's what ... But they did say most murmurs are innocent and not to worry

Wow I'm so sorry to hear all these stories I actually feel blessed that my baby hasn't had to gone through all of those things! It really is hard to see your baby going through just anything myself as a parent wish it could be me instead of my baby! I know she will be fine she has to I look at it like my baby is meant to be here! I had a miscarriage Feb 27,2014 I was told I couldn't have aany more kids so long story short my daughter was born on Feb.27,2015 the exact same day one year later I feel like she is my miracle baby and I am meant to have her!!!! I'm praying for all of you ladies and your families hoping everything turns out for the best! I'm at the Dr. Right now waiting for more results on my baby girl I will keep everyone posted!! Thanks ladies for being here and letting me vent I don't know what I would have done with out this app!!

My girl was born with it and had to use a Billy light for 7 days at home!! So stressful being a brand new mom and a brand new tiny baby and having to wrap her in a light and be limited to how far you can walk with her.... I was so happy when it was over.

My daughter had jaundice and was at a really high level. She was under lights for over a week then she had to be on a belly light for another two weeks. She was in the nursery for over a month. She is now 12 and healthy. Good luck to you. I know it's hard :(

Omg I'm so sorry to hear that!! Its so scary they didn't admit my baby yet I'm praying that they won't have to but when we left the hospital her levels were normal it was at her 4 day check up we found out that her levels were rising she was at 15 then the next day she was at a 16.2 yesterday she went down to a 13.7 now we have to be checked again on Tuesday.... Its so scary knowing how serious this really is. And then I just found out that her dads brother actually died from jaundice when he was just 3 months old. That was 32 years ago I know that technology and medicine have come a long way since then but it us scary!! @kickbabyboo I'm going to be praying for your baby too plz keep me posted on how she is doing! If I didn't have thus site to vent on I would be going crazy!!

It ***** to see a baby so small going through something so serious at such a young age!! I took her to the hospital again to be poked yesterday and thank God  her levels are getting lower they went from 16.2 to 13.7 Dr said it's still high but at least they came down so now I have to take her yet again on Tuesday to be checked again I'm praying by then its all gone and she won't need to be poked any more!

Sun..I put my baby girl in the sun for on hour straight everyday.. She hated it.. But it was a must.. If she didn't then they would take her over night at the hospital and put her under lights.. I had bad post partum so it hurt to see her going through this at only 3 days old..

Yes I'm trying not to stress I know it's common my last three before her had it but they were fine within a day or two but with her instead of her levels going down they went up I just hate to see her little self getting poked so much I cry everytime they poke her! :( hopefully tomorrow will be the last time being poked!! And praying everything is OK!!! Thanks ladies

It'll be ok! My son was born 1/27 via c section and I had lost a lot of blood during it. I was in the hospital from the Monday morning before he was born till that sat. I wasn't producing a lot of colostrum and we weren't having luck on breastfeeding. My son's beliruben was a 16. I decided my son should at least go on formula so he could get better and was under the lights for at least 24 hrs.

Try not to stress to much, I  a ftm and my nurses said that it's comments to happen. My son is doing very well!

My son had it when he was born. What his pediatrician told me was to take him out  to the sun and it did help 30 mins 3 times a day for 3 days.

I work on a pediatric unit and we treat jaundiced babies all the time, it's pretty common and the treatment is standard with light therapy... just something that happens, try not to stress about it too much!

My first son had it too just not as bad as my 2nd. Hopefully we don't have to deal with it again in a couple months when our baby girl is born.
