just a ftm question

This is my husband and I`s first and only child. We both have had some concerns to talk  to the Dr about tomorrow (like his going out of town less than two weeks before my due date) but he is going to the beach instead of going with me to the Dr. im pretty upset about it and I want to know who is in the wrong?

I agree with the ladies. If its work related, then cut him some slack, but the beach? The beach will be there forever! These important moments only happen once. I'm on my third and my husband tries to make it to as many appt as possible. But its tough because he works Monday - Friday.

Erica I highly agree with the ladies. If its work then he gets a pass but just to go the beach not kool. This is our first and my hubby hasn't missed an appointment yet and I'll be 40 weeks on Friday.

Thank you for your opinions. I feel the same and my appt isn't until 1:30 pm .

Harmony, you should create your own post. Erica, if its not work related, he is in the wrong and needs to rethink his priorities.

My hubby was there for all but 1 appt. He couldn't get out of work that one time. It was our first. If its not work related makes me question priorities if ye didn't want to be there.

So I'm just wondering how you ladies feel about giving your child their father's last name even though you may not be together.?! Me and my child's father are on okay terms I'd say , but I've been thinking about not giving my baby girl his last name even though he still thinks she will.

If it's a work related reason I give my hubby a pass. But, otherwise he is at the appt with me. This is baby #5. He still comes to all the big ones. He should be there if he has any questions for the dr. Or if you are expecting to have any in depth discussion. Can he not wait until after the appt? Or go early and be back in time to go?
