I meant wouldn't stress! Don't stress!
It's hard to say. I'm considered morbidly obese but my doctor told me I could gain up to 20lbs and be ok, with my first I gained 26 and 20 of it was in the last 2 months. I never lost that 20 lbs until the last few weeks. I'm 13 weeks with number 2 and 20lbs down, mostly from morning sickness but I've also been focusing at eating healthier (least when I can eat).
I personally think it's all up to individuals, I've had small friends gain 15lbs and some gain 60 lbs and both babies were healthy. On another note, the more you gain the more you have to lose too. I would stress to much about it but I think you should listen to your doctor. He/she is the professional and he knows your health history and risk factors more than a bunch of strangers.
At that week I had gained around 30-40 pounds. My doctor never brought up my weight. When I asked him about my weight gain he suggested exercise, even if it's a 30 minute walk each day and from day 1 he has recommended not eating processed foods like fast food as much as possible. He wasnt concerned though...he just said that I stated small and that the more u gain its harder to loose. Try not to stress over it unless you and your baby would be in harm if you continue to gain a lot more weight. If that is the case maybe you can ask a doctor for an eating plan.
I noticed if its not there Ideal pregnancy, we are in the wrong. At least that's how mine are. Im 32 weeks and gained 25lbs. Of course I lost like 30 from morning sickness.
My pre-pregnancy weight was 124 and I am almost 36 weeks and have also gained 26 pounds. My midwife says my weight is just fine, and I'm actually measuring on the smaller side. Perfect weight gain from a healthy pre-pregnancy weight is 25-30 lbs (at full term). You are right on target!
I gained 58 with my first and doc never once said anything mean about it.
In the beginning I was losing weight from all the vomiting , I started at 122 lost 3 pounds and gain them back. You made it a lot easier to understand thank you!
Yeah but you just said for you that you are still 35-40 pounds overweight & that's why your Dr doesn't want you to gain much , like I previously wrote bigger woman should gain less bc you have room and health issues could raise . So if Nancy is Normal weight and or small framed , she doesn't need to be careful ... (?) 26 pounds Is not a lot . Idk what pre weight you are at Nancy so , from what iv said you should know weather or not it's a lot for
( you ) or Ok for you . But if your not overweight period than your Dr shouldn't have said that's a lot .
On this app alone it says for week 34 that weight gain from 20-28 pounds is normal range .
Weird your Dr would tell you that ? That's retarded .. even on this app if you set you weight gain from each week it will tell you your on track and it's normal .
I have lost 60lbs in the past 3 years and am still about 35-40lbs overweight, and my doctor stressed that for my health & to reduce the risk of gestational diabetes, I should try not to gain more than 10-15lbs. I am now almost 14 weeks and have gained 4lbs (although 3 of that was from a cruise we took when I was 9 weeks). I think just be careful from now on and try to get on track right after the baby is born & you should be fine.
I think if your over weight , the less you need to gain
& if your smaller you need to gain more weight , or so iv read . But then again I was super small and I didn't gain much , I think everyone is different .
I'd say 26 pounds is great tho perfect weight gain ! 70 is gaining A LOT !!! & 6 pounds don't seem right lol .. i mean bc you have to have baby weight and placenta weight .
With my 1st two girls I only gained 17 pounds , pre pregnancy weight was 100 and delivery weight was 117 .
Now I'm expecting my 3rd and 1st son , it's been 10 years later and iv gained about 23 pounds & I'm 37 weeks . My pre weight was 110-112 .
So unless you keep going and going up , near 70 then I'd worry .
I'm 34 weeks and I've gained 6 pounds.
I don't think 26 pounds is a lot though. Sounds reasonable to me.
